2019 Syrah Malbec

"In 2017, the Thomas Fire devastated Ojai Alisal with most of the Syrah and Malbec vines lost to the fire, all of which have since been replanted. In 2019, we had enough production from the surviving vines to co-ferment for this release. For the first time equal parts Syrah and Malbec, this deep ruby red wine shows dark fruit, tobacco and leather on the nose, and on the palate plums, black cherry, pepper, mushrooms and earth."

"As with the 2016 vintage, we chose this year to co-ferment the Syrah and Mourvedre producing another amazing blend. Medium-bodied with flavors of dark fruit, chocolate, and black pepper prevail with smooth tannins and a lingering finish."
