Join expert birder Dan Cooper for a customized half day birding tour for you and a guest in the broader Los Angeles and Ventura County area. Dan is a lifelong resident of southern California, and is regarded as an expert on the birds and natural history in southern California.
Dan currently serves as Principal Conservation Biologist for the Resource Conservation District of the Santa Monica Mountains and is also Research Associate in the Department of Ornithology at the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum, and founder and study director for the LA Raptor Study.
Dan has decades of experience consulting and leading bird tours and previously served as Conservation Director for Audubon California in the early 2000s, where he helped develop the Audubon Center at Debs Park, and wrote the book Important Bird Areas of California.
Nurit Katz, Outreach Coordinator for the LA Raptor Study, will assist with the tour and photography.
